I went back to serial and the mouse still refused to function on several "buttons". Got a new HD and ended up re-loading QMPro anyway. (Works great again.) Now, since you seem to have your act together on QMPro, maybe you can answer some questions for me. 1) My modem is a Supra 144i fax/modem with the (supposedly) Rockwell chip. Why won't QMPro allow me to access Rockwell RPI ? One BBS sysop here is adamant about me using it for error correction. The Supra came with COMit for Windows as a communication program and it claims to support Rockwell RPI (COMit was a piece of garbage IMO as it would not up or download any files.) 2) My first version of QMPro was V1.01 and it had my modem specified. V1.53 only list a Supra 14400 Fax/Modem, not the 144i version. Is this a possible problem ? Any assistance you can offer will be welcomed. -->>JC<<-- --- WILDMAIL!/WC v4.11 * Origin: The Byte Swap BBS! Running QMPro V1.53 with no problems until a local sysop insisted that I had to run the Rockwell RPI error correction on his BBS. My modem is a Supra 144i fax/modem that "supposedly" has the Rockwell chip installed that runs the RPI (Came with COMit for Windows and mfg says it has the feature). I've not had ANY problem with QMPro 1.53 until this happened. The Rockwell RPI selection in config is "grayed" out and I can't click on it. Running in "serial" setting with no problems. I'm using QModem for DOS. The BBS I'm posting from will soon be going to "live" internet, and I have been advised to use Winsock/Netscape for navigating the net. I know nothing about these programs....do they work "with" Qmodem or do I need QModem for Windows, or are they something altogether different? I'm not totally ignorant about the net (I do email and FTP) but have never been on "live." From the main QmodemPro (Ver 1.11a) screen, select OPTIONS, then DEVICES, and finally, MODEM. This will bring up a screen of setting for your modem. The one you are looking for is called DELAY AFTER. Pick a number in second, save the dialogue, and you should be all set.
