I am in the need of some help... Is there anyone out here who is using a Microcomm 28.8 ES with the v.34 upgrade with BGFAX and InterMail 2.29k?? I spoke with the author of BGFAX and had it working as far as taking an incomming fax, but, the modem will not connect with some of my FIDO links hardly at all.. After the other end answers, my end just sets there and never goes into the IMESI session... I have to call Planet Connect 10 - 15 times before I acn get a session..It is the same with several places I call. Also, I cannot get an /ARQ response from my modem since the upgrade... Would someone please post thier inits and internal modem settings here for me. I removed all the fax crap from InterMail today and reinstalled my modem from within InterMail and now am having problems just getting it to work at all. Checked all the settings and everything looks ok, but who knows..Again any help would be fantastic.. In Binkley I have to have something similar to the following: PreInit |v``^``ATHZ|~~ Init AT+FAA=1;+FCR=1;+FLID="604 753 2257";+FDCC=1,3,0,2,0,0,0,0| Prefix ATDT Busy ATH1|~v Answer ATA| TermInit |ATZ|~ I do have a bit of a problem with getting too many "false faxes" when I have my modem set for adaptive answer. One of my hubs with a USR v.everything gets a FAX connect 80% of the time and has to keep calling me back to finally get a DATA connection so that the mail can be transferred. ati3 V1.100F-V34_DS ati6 RC288DPi Rev 04BC Do you have newer roms than I do? ...Dave --- FMail/2 1.02+ * Origin: Brass Bed OS/2, Nanaimo, BC (604)753-2257 Microcom 28.8 1:351/300) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 247 MICROCOM MODEMS Ref: DB^00000Date: 07/30/96 From: PAUL H.
