Sweeps are what you get when you comb the hair on each side of your head back to form a ducktail in the back. Some sweeps were so high they looked like the Wings of Mercury..but not mine. My high school senior picture shows perfect sweeps and a waterfall that was the envy of all the dudes in my class...in fact, I'm the only 'cool' dude in the yearbook (the rest had 'flat-tops' or just sweeps). Waterfalls are formed by combing some of the hair forward and forming a sort of 'waterfall' in the middle of the forehead.
