Yes, it's a four stroke. It uses electromagnets to open/close the valve. Using this system, you get ideal valve lift/duration no matter the ammount of throttle or RPM. This system could even so away with starters (!). Thought that this might start up some posting. I was wondering if you know much about tuning holley's. here is the rundown on my car 350 chevy trick flow heads with 10:1 CR cam is 224 @ .050 holley street dominater dual plane 750 cfm holley with vacuum secondaries 12-13 inches of vacuum at idle my problem is a surge at partial throttle or cruising speed. I never had a problem with this until I put the heads on. I have 14 deg. of initial timing with a total of 37 with mechanical and vacuum advance. I unhooked the vacuum advance and the problem didnt go away. I ruled out a vacuum leak already. I jetted up to 74's and that didnt change anything. I called the holley tech line and they told me to go from the stock 45 power valve to an 85. I did that and still the surge!!! The only thing that I can think of is that it still might be the wrong power valve or the carb is still too lean. could the manifold be matching wrong with the new heads? It runs like gangbusters when I get on it, but this is getting really annoying!! 8) what do you think?? I'm not to knowledgable about cars at all. The only work I know how to do on them is maitanace stuff like oil changes, radiator flushes, and the such, but I was told to be careful about buying cars that had bondo on the roof, because it could mean that it had been rolled at one time. It is a distributorless ignition, -> so am I stuck with the 20btdc or is there a way to change the timing? Now without Re-Programing the Computer Firmware. Not exactly a home project. You are basically stuck with the timing you have in a dirtributorless system. Although you can play around a little with the timing sensor mounting position on a few cars. There are basically two, One telling the computer Crank Position and another telling the computer cam position. If that means anything to you you are off to a good start in changing the Timing of your car. --- Platinum Xpress/386/Wildcat! v1.3e * Origin: The Alien Biker Kat BBS/Wildcat/PX. Just curious as to some information about it/them. Many years from any Practiality both from a Power to Pound relationship and also, And Mostly, COST!! It is a unit that produces Electricity by passing Hydrogen through a menbrane system. The Military has been exprementing with them for years. As have the Space People(NASA). They also have been produced using several other fuels, Including Propane or Natural Gas and Diesel Fuel. Hydrogen is the most effecient fuel though. And with a companion unit also undr development that disassociates Water into Oxygen and Hydrogen in usefull qualities in a small package looks promissing. --- Platinum Xpress/386/Wildcat! v1.3e * Origin: The Alien Biker Kat BBS/Wildcat/PX.
