Well ever hear of EMS it is Electro Motive Force it is close to PMS cauz it's a Bitch. With out getting into something that belongs in the Electronics echo lets just say if under a load and No. 1 plug fires then No.8 may fire with it due to the collapse of the magnetic field arround No 1. Now look at the GM fireing order 18436572 see 5 and 7 they are side beside so if 5 goes maby 7 will go with it. Well if 7 does go then it will be way advanced and build lots of heat. Bye Bye piston valve or what ever after a few of those premature fireings. Now the resistor wires help so use them AC Delco Belden or Holly work best on our Race Car I would suggest any of them. Be sure you keep Nos. 5 and 7 as far apart as you can. About the only thing a cheep set of wires can do for you is make it necessary for you to buy a new Engine so dont worry use the Cheepies after all you get what you pay for. Nope, what you've got there is a failing "accelerator pump", which is what's supposed to squirt some gas in there when you push down on the pedal. It's the most common problem with older cars like that, I've had it happen to me more than once. A rebuild of that carb oughta fix it. And messing around with the mixture will *not* fix the problem, either, though that's the first thing a lot of people try... email: roy.j.tellason%tanstaaf@frackit.com --- * Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-432-0764 (1:270/615) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 246 AUTOMOTIVE Ref: F5G00023 Date: 04/23/98 From: TOM WALKER Time: 06:58am \/To: WILLIAM EPPS (Read 0 times) Subj: Re: VW What? -> RM> Got a closer look at the new VW Beetle the other day... -> RM> -> RM> FRAUD!...
