That translates into 75k miles. I'm replacing it this week. The natural fear is that it breaks while on a highway, but logically it must undergo the greatest load at low rpm. Once had a Dodge 318 with ~130k miles on it. Started engine, backed up about a foot, engine stalled. Sounded funny when cranking. Wouldn't start. Pulled air cleaner, found gas and air blowing up and out of carb when cranking! Got some _real_ interesting compression readings, including _vacuum_! I've no experience with the rebuild of those, but we had one in the family a while back, she had the same sort of a problem. In her case it was an aftermarket a/c setup that did it in, they think, where a bracket busted and things moving around in the engine compartment did a bit of damage to the oil filter, and it leaked like crazy for a bit.
