I thougt Electronic Spark Timing is just a substitute for VaccuumAdvance, and you still have to set the 'base-timing' manually, and the EST's part is to control spark timing according to changing engine load conditions while driving. --->[*HEUER*] *Heuer@mailonly.ftn.de* --- CrossPoint v4.0 R * Origin: *Aaahhhh, der Tod!!!* (2:241/500.6) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 246 AUTOMOTIVE Ref: F3300040 Date: 02/27/98 From: ROY WITT Time: 06:25pm \/To: ROY J. The Ranger is a great little truck tho I doubt it will serve the current childhood as well as that 50 Ford did the first or the Bugeye or Honcho or, Thumper, the magic Rabbit diesel, did their respective "kids". (Geez, I almost forgot the 64 Monza, the pocket Porsche that ate Saabs and most anything else on crooked roads. The first set of snowtires was a real thrill.) After the Monza, Sibby and I have gone(are going) through a string of Dodges, all great, since 70 with a 78 Olds diesel (bought new, 10 years, 160k, like Thumper, rusted out with the engine still willing and smoking the gomers when asked) in the middle as the family car. Parents, brothers & sister, all Ford, all the time. No lemons or dogs in the bunch, I just didn't like the "feel" (too soft?) of any of them. We stopped at the Ford dealer to look at a used Dakota, Sibby liked the new Ranger so we took a ride. I was hooked quickly, solid ride and handling, couldn't believe how willing that porkypine 4 (8, count em, 8 plugs?) was. Before I knew it, daddy had a new toy. (Thumper is pissed!) Read your policy. It might be that the insurance company requires you to report the accident within a certain time period. I don't know. Now, you might say that this is meaningless if you're not at fault. What if the other driver (at fault) has lapsed insurance or no insurance? Despite laws to prevent this from happening, it does happen. In that case, your own insurance might protect you. The bottom line is that you need to read and understand your policy. --- QScan/PCB v1.19b / 01-0232 * Origin: IBMNet Connection - Indpls, IN - 317-882-5575 28.8 USR (1:231/1) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 246 AUTOMOTIVE Ref: F3300048 Date: 03/01/98 From: MARK LOGSDON Time: 06:57pm \/To: TOM WALKER (Read 0 times) Subj: Vehicle Confiscation TW> What is Wrong with being RIGHT!!!
