If one set doesn't stop you, why does the rest of the system quit working. I have a '85 Plymouth Voyager that my front right brake went out on, and soon after the whole system went kaputz. Paid 99.9 when I left Dallas, driving through Abilene saw signs for 97.9 Midland was 99.9 when I filled up, Van Horn had signs for 103.9 but when I got to El Paso, EVERY gas station was charging 121.9 for the 86 Octane. Went ahead and put in 88 Octane (129.9) Sure is strange though, all the name brand and cut rate stations all across the city were 121.9! The only place that was cheaper was on the base at Ft Bliss (114.9) but of course Civilans cannot buy it on the base. Sure is good to be back where it is only 99.9!!!! --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: * MacSavvy OS/2 BBS * Dallas, Texas * 972-250-4479 * (1:124/1208) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 246 AUTOMOTIVE Ref: F2A00022 Date: 02/06/98 From: TOM WALKER Time: 10:33am \/To: ROY J. It's still not a plea -> prospect to contemplate trying to find the right wires to hook into, -> though... That is the real problem with a project like that. Particularly with the rear lights. Those under the Hood would be fairly easy if there was a convent entry through the firewall. You can use those Micro Bulbs than require very little current and can be used with very small wire. You would need to waterproof the Reed Switch assemblies so they could be mounted as close to the lights as possible. --- GEcho 1.20/Pro * Origin: Jim's East County BBS! El Cajon, CA. Just look for your exhaust -> manifold and find the thing that looks like a spark plug sticking out Some you can't get out without a special wrench or socket. And unless you are using an OEM replacement one must be sure to get a good connection when the stub wire of the new universal replacement is crimped on the the Wire from the under the hood harness after you cut the connector wire that went to the old one. And make sure that you Waterproof that CHEAP crimp connection. I like Shrink tubing myself but liberally spearing it with RTV will work. I NEVER recommend just Taping it. --- GEcho 1.20/Pro * Origin: Jim's East County BBS! El Cajon, CA. Since the Computer monitoring of the SMOG devices is so good I just don't see the sense of replacing it until you get the Replace Oxygen sensor. And since "Limp Home" is a required portion of the computerized engine control system, Nothing would get a manufacturer in bigger trouble than a Sudden death computer program when a sensor fails, I can't see any problem at all. And on the two I have had a problem with the biggest problem was a drop in Fuel Miledge. The car still ran reasonably well with a bad oxygen sensor. --- GEcho 1.20/Pro * Origin: Jim's East County BBS! El Cajon, CA.
