Salut All! I have here the February issue of Car and Driver, and it has a lovely concept car on the front page. Now the text says this car has a 225 hp engine in it, and that the engine is from a Chrysler Neon. Is there a 225 hp Neon in the US? If so, how much does it cost? I'm just wondering, as we only get 133 hp Neons here, and they don't sell at all. They are in the price range of an entry level (100 hp) Audi A4, so I guess that's the reason. I see in the magazine you have 150 hp and two door Neons, so could anybody please tell me about all engines available for the car and their prices? cu .\\arc ... I have NEVER had a policeman give me a ticket because of a malfunctioning light of ANY kind. This includes driving in all 48 continental states and several Canadian Provinces over a period of 57 1/2 years. I HAVE had a policeman tell me "You have a burned out XX light - better get it fixed." NEVER even a warning ticket/citation. I would hate to have to guess just how many miles that covers! Here in good old San Antonio a policeman is perfectly within his rights to give such a ticket, but the only tine they do is when a driver is driving is such a manner that the policeman gets his suspicions up, then he will stop the driver. After a license check, IF the driver is CLEAN he probably will just get a verbal warning - about the burned out lamp AND his driving. Many times in the above circumstances the driver has outstanding warrants or worse. Then it's off the the hoosegow and his car is impounded right thereand towed to the impound lot. With the advent of radios PLUS computer data bases the police can catch a bunch of scofflaws. ___ OLX 2.1 TD How big is a stone when it becomes a rock? --- RemoteAccess 2.50+ * Origin: Northern Lights! * San Antonio * 210-499-6299 V34/VFC (1:387/23) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 246 AUTOMOTIVE Ref: F2100023 Date: 02/01/98 From: ED BROWN Time: 02:15am \/To: RONNIE THOMPSON (Read 0 times) Subj: OX sensor -> Sorry, but I've never seen one go 100K. Valvoline's upper grade oils were quite highly rated also, but a step under the above. I believe the Castrol had the longest service life before a meaningful narrowing of its original viscosity range occured. I also remember the summaries of any of these reviews basically saying that the rating system (SG, SH, etc.) is generally an excellent guide and frequent service/changes were more instrumental than the specific brand over the long haul.
