Common sense should reign. My cousin JP>CZ> is in procurment and logistics for the Macomb County Sheriff JP>CZ> Department. According to him any citation written, even when JP>CZ> settled/paid expeditiously, carries a "handling" cost of 700- JP>CZ> 800 TAX DOLLARS! JP>When totalling up the man hours involved for dispatcher, police, JP>clerks, etc, it is a possible number. I would be interested in JP>seeing the breakdown of this, they probably added in some other JP>variables to make it seem more outstanding. I doubt that a "breakdown" is available. But, computer feed-in and operators are major portions of the cost estimate. Not to mention handling at the adjudicatory point (i.e. courthouse). -cc * SLMR 2.1a * Of all animals, the boy is most unmanageable. - Plato --- Renegade v5-11 Exp * Origin: The Bearsville BBS * Warren, MI * (810) 582-9429 (1:120/650) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 246 AUTOMOTIVE Ref: F1Y00013 Date: 01/28/98 From: TOM WALKER Time: 06:38am \/To: ALAN MORRISON (Read 0 times) Subj: Buying imports -> On a related issue, can you tell me how many of the worlds ten -> largest banks (by assets) are US; Japanese; and Other? Durant formed a company called "General Motors" in 1908 but was ousted two years later, so he formed Chevrolet in 1911, intending to make it a powerful lever to regain control. It also mentions that Early Chevrolets were Largish medium-price cars with six-cylinder and even V-8 Power. Another pice of trivia about Chevrolet is that When Ford finally phased out the Model T in favor of the Model A Chevrolet had their chance. The "New" sis-cylinder engine affectionately called the "Cast Iron Wonder" or "Stove Bolt Six(Because of it's Cast Iron Pistons and the use of 1/4-20 slotted head Stove bolts). The Stove bolt six was engineered by Ormand E. Hunt from an earlier design by Henry M. Crane that had evolved into the 1926 Pontiac Engine. --- GEcho 1.20/Pro * Origin: Jim's East County BBS! Heck, I even used synthetics in my mower (when I owned one). I started using Mobil 1 in 1975 in my Sportster tranny (wet clutch) and saw the results immediately, it convinced me that synthetic oil was the way to go and my initial impression has been reinforced many times over. Thanks for the comparison, can't wait until the next oil change and I can switch back to Mobil 1. cbowman@sinfo.net --- * Origin: Techshop's Southern Most Point - Panama (1:3651/9.10)
