That's true. Therefore, I hope the following helps... The following codes are for CHRYSLER vehicles only. Each vehicle has an onboard computer system that can be activated by following the instructions below. (Date: 1996-97) ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. Cycle the ignition key ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 5 seconds. NOTE: Do not turn the key all the way over to start the engine! Only enough to activate the accessories. 2. Count the number of times the "check engine" lamp on the instrument panel flashes on and off. The number of flashes represents the code. There is a slight pause between the flashes representing the first and second digits of the code. Longer pauses separate individual codes. For example, flash-flash-flash [pause] flash-flash represents the code 32. To cycle the ignition key ON means to turn it only as far as it takes to get the radio to come on. It does not mean to turn the engine on. So the next time that you're in your driveway fixing your headlight, and get a ticket, you're going to thank the cop for allowing you to go into work an hour or more late on whatever day is assigned? Most courts start at around 8am or 8:30, take serious violators first , then people that want to plead guilty to whatever they're charged with, THEN everyone else. It's very likely that this guy didn't get to work until 9-9:30, just because some cop had too much time on his hands. Toyota had a car a few years ago called the MR2 . It was a mid-engined, tiny, 2 seat sports car. Very fun, though. I believe it had a 1.8 liter engine. It handled fairly well, for what it was, a realitively low-tech, inexpensive car.
