My friend Don's Mom rented an Acura 2.2 CL back in September. In the interests of science he took the car out and we drove it pretty hard:) Its just hard to get excited about those types of cars. They are dog slow, don't handle well, don't have a roomy interior, and have me-too styling. The handling is bad, very imprecise steering, nothing like a Bimmer or even an Integra. Those cars don't sell well, and I can see why. They are refined and get decent gas mileage, but they are boring as hell. I think a 4 door CL would bomb out here.... --- * OLX 2.1 TD * THERE... ARE... What is in his integra anywayz? a JATO at the back? :) It was gutted, no passenger seat, no back seat, no spare, even removed quite a bit of the sound deadening material. With him in the car, he looks to be about 175 lbs, the car weighs 2500 lbs! Stock those cars run 15.3 or so, just with the weight reduction, that would help get him to about 14.9, plus he had slicks. He had a K&N air filter, exhaust, and some other little things. I know he said before he got juice he ran a 14.7, as he said he lost to a Cadillac Eldorado, though it was very close. Then he got NOS, 70 shot I believe, though for some reason 90 horsepower comes to mind? His best run of the day was 13.2. 70 horsepower on a 2500 lb car obviously is quite a bit, though I'm still surprised he went 13.2. I ran into him leaving school about 3 weeks after that. We went on the highway (where he would have an advantage) and I stayed right on his bumper from about 60- tripled digits. (He squirted me:) He had a full interior at that time, and obviously his car was now close to mine (13.66). I 'think' I was pulling on him, but I can't say for sure. Don't get me wrong, 13.2 is a great time, but gutting a car's interior and using a 70 shot to do it just isn't what I would prefer.
