Look in Summit Racing magazine. They have a TransGo shift kit for the AOD. Its about $109 and will make a bit of a difference. Oh, I agree with you about the engineers, but I think the same could said about the bean counters who demand that the engineers design the thing in a way that it can't be serviced, just so that it saves a few pennies per vehicle and is designed to a schedule that seems like it was due out "yesterday." While often it is the engineer's fault, quite often the fault also lies with the bean counters, accountants, marketers, managers, MBA's, etc. It's so easy to blame the engineers, but the blame probably deserves to be spread around a bit to upper management.
