PH> Cheers, Peter H. Thanks Peter. Interesting. However, we used the mixture of silicone grease and a carrier of 1.1.1 trichloroethlane (not sure of spelling- -ene and -ane are different!) to lubricate various rotating switches in the SAGE display consoles back in the early 60s with absolutely no ill effects and very positive GOOD effects - no more intermittently making switches. That was what? 37 years ago, but if I remember correctly the contacts of the rotary switches were silver plated. What can I say? Maybe the Brits were just unlucky. :-) * OLX 2.1 TD * MilliHelen: Amount of beauty needed to launch one ship. --- RemoteAccess 2.50+ * Origin: Northern Lights! * San Antonio * 210-499-6299 V34/VFC (1:387/23) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 246 AUTOMOTIVE Ref: EGX00028 Date: 12/27/97 From: JAY EMRIE Time: 08:21pm \/To: ROY J.
