Slow isn't the word, feels like an 18 second car. Other then that it seems like a decent car, seems to handle ok and doesn't ride to stiff. That engine made a lot of -> horsepower at high rpm, but it could only be used while you were -> racing. Basically making it useless for the street. Probably why -> Chevrolet only made that engine for two years. Or maybe it was -> because they had a bunch of 283 cranks left over and needed to use -> them up...:) Didn't GM fairly well Successfully RACE those 320's ? I think they produced the Street Car despite it's drawbacks because of the Requirement of Qualifying as a Stock Car fro racing. And didn't FORD do the same thing with their HEMI V-8. It's called "trickle down lubrication"...n -> same as trickle down economics. A Lot of the High Quality equipment I worked on in the Medical Field had fairly well sealed Pots. Thee was NO opening like of the Cheapest by the wire terminals to dribble(Trickle Down) it into the Pot. And that also just cleaned and Lubricated the Wiper and didn't do much fro the bad connection between the Shaft and the Case. Another point of Noise production.
