The angles, elevation, trees, moss, ROCKS, stumps, etc get pretty tricky. My new gravel road made for car traffic even caught my truck last winter - seems an underground seep spring made a mud hole in the middle of the road and traffic loosened it all up - nearly got caught in it with my truck. Had to backhoe up the area and put a drain pipe in. SD> especially the ones that mention that have "Old trucks" in their yellow SD> pages SD> ads.. guess what? "Old" means 1985-1990 if you go by their rules :-/. I've seen others that are only talking about the last three years models after the one being sold new, such as with 96's being sold, they'd only have '93 to 95. Real old huh? The light works SD> fine. SD> Oddly, I can't recall ever seeing an early to mid 80's Ford product with SD> a SD> working seat belt buzzer... It's that wonderful buzzer unit....every so often if you're releasing the parking brake while the lights on you may get it to buzz. Most people just disconnect them anyway. I have a CB radio on all the time (part of living in the woods where it's your secondary telephone) and boy when you start the truck and that buzzer goes, even the squelch on the radio won't muffle the noise of the buzzer static. The late 70's and the early 80's are basically the same in this area. Mine never worked when I got it, then when I was running cable for the antenna, I pushed in (I guess) and then it worked from then on. I'm guessing the last owner pulled the connector out until it just quit working. - Pedit Ver 2.6 Russ Blakeman, SysOp Extraodinaire Blue Moon of Kentucky BBS/Harned, KY 40144 FidoNet 1:2450/500 VETLink #96 19:201/400 BBS/Fax (502) 756-6991 ...The wildest colts make the best steeds. --- ProBoard v2.15 [Reg] * Origin: Blue Moon of Kentucky BBS / Harned,KY / (502) 756-6991 1:2450/500) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 245 OLD TRUCKS Ref: DEM00000 Date: 10/17/96 From: GARY HAYES Time: 11:22am \/To: BRUCE LEGRANDE (Read 3 times) Subj: who's here? Should be possible, Sean. Seat mountings haven't changed in a long time. If it's not, what's the big hangup about making new holes? Electric drills do that real nice and quick. Regards.
