The third author you ought to look for is Maddox Roberts (or Robert Maddox, or something). I haven't seen anything from him in a couple of years and my MBS says they haven't either, but he had the first series, and in some ways the best. The Saylor series, at this first one, is much more serious, although it does have its lighter moments. The main character, Gordianus the Finder, gets sarcastic when a "lighter air" is needed. I was surprised to see it when I glanced in BDalton's window as I wandered by. I hadn't heard a word about it coming out, or at least I don't remember hearing anything about it. It's a tp version, costing $17.95.
