I didn't realize this was a series. What's the DR> title of the other one? I really liked Trust Me. As for Bank DR> Shot, I liked it, but my favorite Dortmunder was Drowned Hopes. DR> Loved the surprise ending. But of course, I kind of have a DR> warped sense of humor. (G). DR> Thanks for your input on Westlake. Guess if we all liked the DR> same author it would keep he/she busy eh what? Unfortunately, I read both of those while I was still able to find things to read in the local library. I don't remember the title, but it was set in Martha's Vineyard. I guess the slapstick nature of Bank Shot and the sheer stupidity of so many of the actions was my problem with it. I don't find pain and ignorance funny, and I find it very hard to sympathize with criminal protagonists. There is no such thing as a lovable bank robber, IMHO. ... (That's if anyone else is buying--if *I'm* buying I'll cull out the better items, pay $3 to $20 depending on what I got, re-price them to market through Interloc, brodart 'em, list 'em online, and *then* put 'em on the shelf. The result is that we've got, and are moving, more items at $6 and $8 and $10 than we are at $3 and $4. Now what I gotta do is clean up some of the older low-ball items and re-price *them*. I don't pay much attention to original cover price, me. I'm a lot more interested in what other folks are asking for the same or similar items--which is why I give Interloc a real workout.
