It is set in Miami, one of my least favorite spots on RW> earth; and Buchanan does nothing to endear it to me or I would think RW> anyone else. The book is a good read, with great characters and a good RW> quick pace to it. I think Buchanan is about to become a favorite RW> author. I'm really glad to hear you say this, Robert. I recently bought that book at a FoTL sale. I kept picking it up and putting it back, until I finally decided to just buy the thing and give it a try. My problem was that I'm pretty sure I read one other book by her, but it was a long time ago and I couldn't remember a thing about the story. If you're backlog of to-be-read books is anything like the one I'm building, your plans of re-reading books might be a fantasy. Our library's book sales are a fire marshall's nightmare, HF> they're so crowded. Each time I attend a library sale, I am surprised at how few people are there. I've attended at different times both days, and it's always pretty quiet. My first reaction was to tell everyone about it, then I wondered if I shouldn't have kept it to myself because I'd regret it if there were a crowd to contend with. Finally I decided that if the FoTL sales don't generate enough interest, they might decide to scrap the whole idea and THEN where would I be? So I've been blabbing to friends and co-workers and dragging them over there with me. Most people, once they've been, tend to return.
