I am running out of > DB> ideas and money. There is a condition that has a title I"m trying to remember that is much like colic in the fact that it's a "title" of several conditions. I think it's called C.O.P.D. for several upper respratory conditions. It can be anything from heaves to allergies. I'd suggest that if the heaves treatment were only marginally effective then you might suggest allergies to your Vet. However also understand that treating allergies is always a crap shoot. There's a common product on the market for this kind of a thing.. I've heard it can be effective... I'll try and find the name and get back to you. However like Meg, I'd suggest that you find out if there's a Veterinary teaching college nearby that you might take him to if you can. :/ BK --- DB A3000sl/001347 * Origin: * Conniption BBS * one fit at a time (1:102/861) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: F5W00008 Date: 05/16/98 From: "EMIL KUCERA" Time: 01:51pm \/To: ALL (Read 1 times) Subj: Welcome back! And to see that Kohl's advice colum is as > accurate as ever! What's new? Was stuck at work working 9-12 hours a day including the weekends, and after last year it wasn't something I really was going to object to until it got out of hand.. and causing some problem with my health. I've got it moderately in hand.. but have to go to work today.... :/ Car problems were a killer.. several personal issues were keeping me buried.. then my girlfriends Mom just passed.. so that's another thing that's got me buried. Of course the fido wars are interesting.. but then nothing I didn't expect.. will catch up on them shortly, let's just say that the level at the moment.. is ugly. (This is the shortform since we have a couple of the problem children reading the echo) and a reminder that they do not understand personal and confidencial information.. so please do NOT post any in this echo. > How's Tush and CJ? Still seeing the girls everynight with rare exception if only to blanket and feed them. If I'm pressed for time Tush just gets turned out. Down to riding only three days a week. Tush is still one of the most exceptional horses I've ever had a chance to work. The kid loves to please and I've been careful to make sure we move at her pace as we can. Weather has also been a serious factor.. never really can tell with El Nino still going. Still hoping to show towards the end of the year and get serious with it next year. Mom has been pretty exceptional and patient with me also.. she's suffering due to the time limitations.. but has tolerated it fairly well all things considered. Back to turning her out as I can after I warm her up. MSM has done the usual wonders... I now have to turn her out before riding since she's hot as usual when I get on her. No, I won't turn them out together.. I do NOT want Tush you pick up on some of Mom's bad habits and negative personality traits.. and Mom is a tad jealous. Tush is getting a tad silly on occasion in the stall.. a side effect of her getting fitter.. :/ That's all for right now Folks.. have to run over to Cass's to talk to the broker that's coming over today. Then on to the barn. Hope all is going well with all of you.. will try to keep an eye on the problems and help as I can. Expect some spotty particaption.. the Fido wars are going to occupy some time in the near future.
