BIG JIM did his SECOND job on Saturday night (first little job was on Easter Sunday). He's a real pro at it! We had to wait aabout 45 mintues at the church for the newely married couple .... BIG JIM was getting antsy -- well, "antsy" really isn't a good word for it as he was standing perfectly still ... but he'd throw his head up and down (never moving his feet at all) .... I finally got off the carriage and stood by his head ..... As I "crooned" to him, he would lower his head and be a little more content. AFter all the pics were taken, we proceeded to take the happily wedded couple to the reception...... Right up Route 27 (pretty busy traveled highway in Florida) we went -- BIG JIM just trotting at his usual pace (slow ). It was several miles from the church to the receptiong and BIG JIM was eally good. AFter we left the happy couple off, they wanted to take some more pics so BJ had to stand still again ... it was quite obvious that something was bothering him but at the time I didn't know what. Soon as we got back to our trucks and unhitched BJ from the carriage I tied him to the horse trailer so I could help Buddy load up the carriage ....... BIG JIM stretched himself out (by that time I KNEW what was the matter) ..... and his peeded and peeded and PEEDED ..... poor ol' guy had a full bladder and evidently would not do it in harness ..... Sooooooo, that's the story of our second job with BIG JIM. He's really working out well for us. --- * Origin: Home of Mr X's 'XTRAORDINARY CARRIAGE SERVICES! If we'd take her to a grassy place and just let her relax for a few minutes, it'd usually work. And sometimes she'd pee in the trailer in the shavings. Might want to try this with Jim, the poor guy!! Sounds like you've got yourself another peach there, Jean!
