Tush on other getting her wet would be a great conern.. she's still not completly up to par on her immunity system.. she's got some very mild congestion problems at the moment and I'm getting to the point where I want to move her.. the stable is to close to a freeway and I'm sure that the exhaust is doing her harm... :/ So it's time to start looking for another stable.. besides.. the stable politics are at an all time low.. and I'm seriously bunrt out bu it. :/ BK --- DB A3000sl/001347 * Origin: * Conniption BBS * one fit at a time (1:102/861) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: F2S00002 Date: 02/21/98 From: JAN MURPHY Time: 10:20am \/To: JEAN PROPHET (Read 0 times) Subj: Re: Hi dere! > Wish I had a hot water heater out in my barn > .... it's hard keeping > my guys clean and pretty without giving them baths. I DO > vaccum them several > times a week and that helps at bit. How much hot water would you need at a time? We have an itty-bitty water heater under the sink at work. I don't know how much capacity it has, but something like that might give you enough hot water to clean out buckets and tack and stuff, even if you didn't have enough to do the horses themselves. The other nice thing is, there's a switch on the front so you could turn it off when you wouldn't be wanting hot water (less of a fire hazard). We have ours on a ground-fault circut so if somebody splashes water out of the sink onto the plug, it turns itself off. Anyhow, a heater like ours is probably way too small, but if you just wanted some little source of hot water to wash your hands and clean out the buckets and other little stuff, it might be useful. Just wanted to let you know there are ways to get hot water without spending big bucks on a full-sized water heater. --- Opus-CBCS 1.73a * Origin: Sci-Fido II, World's Oldest SF BBS, Berkeley, CA (1:161/84.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: F2S00003 Date: 02/21/98 From: MIKE MAY Time: 07:37am \/To: JEAN PROPHET (Read 0 times) Subj: SEDONA'S SOLO .. -> > WoW!
