I'm here. I have the cold from hell, the one that everyone tells me takes two weeks to go away. Sore throat, with mild fever and chills, followed by stuffy head and nasty cough, etc. You never get really sick, but your energy level is such that you can't get anything done. Rotten stuff. SEDONA is a "trip" for sure -- she's such a 'baby' . If she has a "BooBoo", she'll let EVERYONE know about it! The other day everyone was out (we haven't let them all out at the same time because Sham tends to chase SEDONA). Tuffy was over by the gate that comes into the front yard ...... SEDONA was just standing alone over by the bridge that goes across our pond and I didn't see X nor Sham at all. All of a sudden SEDONA 'squealed' (she's the only one here that squeals) .... I looked out to see if X or Sham was bothering her -- they were no where in sight. Just about that time SEDONA squealed again and kicked her right eg back ...... Again, I thought X or Sham were somewhere around and SEDONA was just letting them know to leave her alone -- NOPE, I didn't see either of the other 2 horses. Sooooooo, about that time SEDONA squealed again and kicked back -- Buddy and I went out to see what in the world was the matter with her. As Buddy held her, I rubbed my hands over her body to see if she had been kicked or was hurt someplace -- I couldn't find a thing ..... BUT, as I reached her tail area, she flinched. I picked up her tail (not that's a chore in itself as she has the longest fullest tail you've ever seen -- it drags the ground), I noticed that she had a scrape right inside her thigh -- it looked like a 'rug burn' type thing that had knocked the "bark" off and was bleeding a little. Looked like she had rubbed her hind end on a tree or something and rubbed that spot raw. I cleaned it and put some medicine on it -- that seemed to make her happy ..... she looked back at me and nickered lowly. Buddy was laughing -- said SEDONA had hurt her "hinny" and she wanted EVERYBODY to know about it .... we just laughed and laughed about it ..... I told him that SEDONA belonged to the right person - ME - when *I* have a "hurty" everyone knows about it too --- * Origin: Jean's Trick Horses (Or is that TRICKY??)
