Looking at just the Blers says that this was a truly lousy connect. The total blocks sent/received is 15% of the errors while a 5% error rate is more normal. Does this happen if you force the connect at a lower speed? It seems very strange that with that level of errors, there were no speedshifts and no retrains. The only time I've seen this before was on a connect where the modem at one end was locked (&n14, &u0). Now that I have a new chip from Logicode I can at least tell what the DCE speed is :-))) However, as far as the init string I sure hope you get an answer because I have not been able to find it anywhere. Certainly not in the 22 page pamphlet that came with the modem. There is a file called ATSUMM.TXT from the Logicode web page but the best it can do is tell you that you can force the following: F6 V.32 bis @ 4800 F7 V.32 bis @ 7200 F8 V.32 bis @ 9600 F9 V.32 bis @ 12000 F10 V.32 bis @ 14400 As I am sure you have discovered, there appears to be no documentation as to the DCE speeds between 14.4 and 33.6 ... I will watch this space for any replies that you may get. Otherwise, since the new chip this modem has performed superbly, connecting at 31,200 99% of the time! Bye for now ... I had never tried the "F" parameters and was just quoting from an online document entitled "AT COMMAND SET SUMMARY FOR LOGICODE MODEMS". Now I have gone and tried the commands and only "F1" is acceptable, all the others (from F2 to F18) are rejected as an ERROR, including the default of "F0"!!! I have no idea what "F1" does either :-(( So, maybe someone who has an in with Logicode support can provide the answers to this one? Bye for now ... So far, I've connected 26400-28800 to bbses with 28800 modems and 28800-33600 to bbses with 33600. But for some reason, when I connect 28800 to a bbs with a 33600, the whole connection freezes 30 seconds after I connect, then it gives me the OK sign. --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: MACH2/VULCAN OS/2 SYSTEMS 1-403-489-4250 (1:342/61)
