Ahhhh errr.. hmmmmmm, not me! :) Both my girls are hot weather girls! :) You know those blondes and warm weather... ;) Tush was feeling exceptionally good today.. we took the time to play some before going to work. Brother was she silly.. and a tad high the first ride.. you see I decided not to unsaddle her after the first ride and left her tied while I did some other stuff.. then I went back and bridled her up again and went back to work. Not a real long session either time.. but got her to break a bit of a sweat. Chuckle.. when I turned her out to roll afterward.. you'd have thought I'd been riding her for HOURS! ;) BK --- DB A3000sl/001347 * Origin: * Conniption BBS * one fit at a time (1:102/861) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: ECD00001 Date: 08/08/97 From: BOB KOHL Time: 03:20am \/To: MIKE MAY (Read 0 times) Subj: Re: Man Made Shade > -> Deb sent me netmail on her lack of posting.. Nice.. think we'll be fine the first time Tush gets a pair.. a lot better then she did her first trim.. ;) My shoer takes no great pleasure in getting kicked.. and Tush SURE pegged the shoer the first time she got shod! :) > She's down to 1 bute a day, which will be decreased over the next week to > none. Well this weekend I'd really like to start sneaking Tush off the stable property.. she's about ready.. but considering what we have for "trail".. it's a "rock and a hard place" scenario... I'll just ease her out bit by bit. I've been taking far longer then I'd planned to with her.. was thinking about it the other day and I"m about 3 months behind where I think I should be. Had a long bout of not wanting to do anything that might get me hurt. Shrug. Doesn't mean I"m careless.. just means I've ridden babies before. ;) > know). And...she's still growing. Next stop is an all QH show in Deerfield, NH where I think she'll do her first lunge class. This is such a NICE horse!!! Her daddy (the TB) is local...hmmmmm.......let's see....if I breed Fiddle to a TB, that would make the baby 1/4 arab...and I think I can still register it as an Anglo/Arab. My vet is making noises like maybe I should think about breeding her...not for medical reasons, but because he thinks she too nice not to. However, what I'd do with a 3rd horse in a 2-stall barn is beyond me (g)! And RIchard...now there's another problem (VBG)! Very good! :) Tush has developed a habit where she likes to wrestle with her saddle pad for a bit before it goes on her back. I hold it like a clamp and she tries to bite it.. which of course she can't.. and I close it on her nose.. ;) > Next stop is an all QH show in Deerfield, NH where I think she'll do her > first lunge class. This is such a NICE horse!!! Good! :) Remind her to take GREAT care on lunging the youngins.. it's not real good for them. > Her daddy (the TB) is > local...hmmmmm.......let's see....if I breed Fiddle to a TB, that would > make the baby 1/4 arab...and I think I can still register it as an > Anglo/Arab. Well, one of the gals that runs a school at the barn has a European guy that came back to participate in the program. He's a vet and a show H/J type.. and sat there talking to me for 15-20 minutes why I ought to breed Tush. Ahhh nope! 2 is to young in my book.
