Ahh make that open western mares/Halter class. ;) We'uns don't call it "in hand" Y'all.. we call it halter class. ;) > She did Palominos in > hand, open horse colts and fillys, and open Western mares in hand. Well we've discussed that in here fairly often Meg.. heck.. you should have known. With Quarters and that type of horse.. there are several ways to breed. The top two are Halter and Performance (let's say WP classes). The "typey" Halter type horses are "IMPRESSIVE" type breedings. Heavy short coupled muscular type horses.. with small feet. The performance (i.e. like WP and english flat work) are more TB like.. or refined. I mentioned this when we were talking about the way I wanted to improve CJ.. and that's why I went with Zippo Pine Bar. He's a "refined" Quarter horse.. definately not Halter class material. Color is simply based on quality of color and not physical comformation. We used to have a mulberry tree at our old house too. not sure if ours are the same type as yours or not but I know ours sure was a messy thing. When the berries got ripe they fell off on the ground and then started to ferment ight there. Smelled like a winery for a month. Couldn't even walk in the back yard for weeks. When the berries were still on the tree the birds would eat them and then leave the most lovely shade of purple stripes down the side of the yellow house! --- PCBoard (R) v15.3/M 2 * Origin: Home of Malla, the spoiled Norwegian Fjord (1:2613/128) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: EBN00002 Date: 07/17/97 From: BOB KOHL Time: 05:59pm \/To: MIKE MAY (Read 1 times) Subj: Re: assorted > -> Will have an answer for you very shortly, even if we have to put it on > -> another system. > Ok sounds like a plan.
