PATTI and X went running hell bent for election through the water -- X did a "side-step" around the pond ..... PATTI went "PLOWING" through -- then stopped about belly deep in water ...... then Buddy said she LAID DOWN in the water ....... and just LAID THERE -- head up looking around. Wow That's a heck of a deal! :) Well I made the long story a bit shorter. In that chapter I got a call one night and the breeder we got her from was on the line. After a bit of chit chat he got to the point. He was in some pretty serious financial trouble. He was probably going to lose the farm etc etc etc... So he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He told me that if I wanted to buy her and pay at least alf as soon as possible then he would knock $2000 off of the price! I think we had Malla for almost 2 years at the time. If I remember right this was early February. So I told him I would do it and sent him a check. Niki & Renee got one heck of a Valentines day present that year from dear ole Dad. The breeder did end up losing the farm and almost everything he had and declared bankrupcy. He is now living in TN and has a farm again and now has several Fjord horses again. He is now into the telecommunications business s well as the horse business. His big down fall was borrowing a large sum of money to import about 40 Fjords in 1988. He just couldn't sell them fast enough to get his money back on the investment. Malla was one of them he imported. --- PCBoard (R) v15.3/M 2 * Origin: Home of Malla, the spoiled Norwegian Fjord (1:2613/128) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: EAD00001 Date: 06/08/97 From: MEG ALFONI Time: 07:56pm \/To: MIKE MAY (Read 0 times) Subj: Malla still Has it MM :>Well actually when I thought about that I added a year to MM :>her age.
