Did the women send the -> boots back under the warranty program? How did the company respond? One did and they replaced them. The boots they replaced them with didn't last more than a couple of months either. In my case they did nothing. I really think I should have been warned. I'm really disappointed in the Ariats. I don't think anyone out at the barn is wearing them anymore. I know the one woman is back in Justins, a couple of us wear the sneakers,(the only shoes I've ever worn that never hurt). -> You know, if these boots don't perform as they say in the ads, it's -> really too bad, because we could all use comfortable boots. In Isn't that the truth. The difference in the quality of the mens and womens boots still makes me MAD. If I pay over a hundred dollars for boots I expect them to last for a couple of years and to look good for more than a month. -> But I can see how they could be too inflexible for other people who -> didn't have the same stability problems I do. Maybe I'm just -> nostalgic for the heavy corrective shoes they put me in as a child. -> ;-) Flexibilty wasn't a problem, they were a trace heavier than I like. I wish someone (even Ariat) would make a good gel sole that I could add to my regular boots and shoes. Looks really pretty. My back lawn -> already needs a cut. I've got plans this year for a new herb garden -> (if I can figure a way to keep the dogs and cats out), and I'm going -> to start some veggie tub gardens. Way to old (g) to start digging up -> large veg. gardens! Figure the tubs will be more than manageable and -> easy to care for. Since there are just the 3 of us at home now, I -> don't need all that many tomatoes or cukes...and certainly no -> overabundant zucchini! Well it ws cooler here today. Down to 91F I'm watering everything like crazy trying to keep it from dying. Got to my paper flower plant a little slow and I nearly lost it. I may have lost 2 of my new birches. It turned hot really suddenly. Put up the sun awning on my patio last week. The patio is one the west side of the house and is about 16' x 36' and gives new meaning to the word hot. Last summer it got hotter than the thermometer would go and the day got hotter. I'm going to be putting the misters up on it ASAP. The garden is started, all but a couple of the herbs are planted. I put them in containers. Some of the farmers are doing the second cutting on the alfalfa already. It looks like its going to be a hot year. BTW...Try sprinkleing black pepper on areas that you don't want the animals in. It doesn't always work but it works more often than not. Had the chiropractor out for Diva. Stupid horse threw her back out. She started out upset with what he was doing but by the end of the session she was trying to help him. It was cute. Glad it all worked out OK She wore her heels uneven in less than a week. We found a chiropractor for horses and had him out. Diva had thrown her back out. It was cute watchiing her around him. She started out upset with what he wad doing but by the end of the session she was trying to help him and was very relaxed. His second visit she started relaxed and stayed that way. She likes having her back massaged. X is sick ..... he looked like he was colicing when I came home for lunch today ....... I immediately gave him some Bute and called the vet .... Come to find out he's got some kind of infection - don't know where. Dr Moore took a blood sample ...... when he took X's temperature it was 103.5 (a horses temp SHOULD be less than 101 Dr. Moore said). Dr Moore gave X an injection of penicylin (sp) and told me to give him 25mg 2 times a day for a week. I won't know anything more until the blood tests come back. I just about pulled a panic number when I though X was colicing -- it was a year ago all over again (been almost a year since "Baby" died ). I saw all that flash before my eyes and I was truly in a panic. Anyway, that's all I know for now. Dr Moore went ahead an oiled X, gave him some more Bute and some Banemine ..... I'm to give him some more Bute tonight. If it's not one thing it's another . --- * Origin: "Baby" - Gone But NOT Forgotten!!
