Did the women send the boots back under the warranty program? How did the company respond? > You, also, need to watch out > if you've > ever had a knee, hip or back injury they can cause you quite > a bit of > pain. I had a pair and if I stayed on the horse I was fine > but if I > walked more than a block in them my knee swelled up to twice > its size. My knees did hurt a little bit after I'd been wearing them for a few hours, but I figured it was switching to that height of heel after constantly being in flats. I'll be careful, thanks. You know, if these boots don't perform as they say in the ads, it's really too bad, because we could all use comfortable boots. In my case, I can feel the difference in the support in the shoe that you are supposed to get from the Y-shaped steel shank (instead of the ordinary straight one). They're supposed to be more stable, and since I pronate, I could use the extra support. But I can see how they could be too inflexible for other people who didn't have the same stability problems I do. Maybe I'm just nostalgic for the heavy corrective shoes they put me in as a child. ;-) We'll see how they work out.... --- Opus-CBCS 1.73a * Origin: Sci-Fido II, World's Oldest SF BBS, Berkeley, CA (1:161/84.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: E5300000 Date: 05/02/97 From: BOB KOHL Time: 03:20am \/To: BOB SEABORN (Read 0 times) Subj: Re: spring???? >> No problem Bob..
