He LOVES people because he was bottle-fed as a baby. My friend said he is like a dog and has the best tempermant she has seen in any pony. His mom dies of a heart attack when my friend was leading her out to ride. My friend just got over it recently. I know the basics of training and breaking horses/ponies baecause I have been around them so long but, I was just looking for additional tips. After the pony is broken and jumping (he jumps hay bales stacked up in his paddock and over the paddock fences that are high enough for a Hanoverian ) I think I am going to sell him. We'll see. I am going to harness train him too. We still have the cart and harness from our old pony! It should be a fun summer none-the-less!!! Thanx for your help!! And looking at them long legs, no wonder I thought she'd be bigger than she is (g). Her legs just went on forever! I think she'll really top out at only 15 or 15.1....She'd make someone the prettiest little hunter pleasure horse...I'm hoping to get her settled enough for the more advanced kids to ride this summer. She's really so sane under saddle, and so responsive. Shiloh's great for the beginners, but when it comes to finesse, she is certainly lacking (g). The word "clunker" comes to mind VBG! Hope your flight went well...I thought I was a white-knuckle type...geesh!!!! Organizatins is a chore at best with all the animals you have it would be near impossible for me. I'm glad you found another sitter. -> Yuk! You should be kinder to yourself! Year before last we planned our vacation of 2 days and it got cancelled by Dave's job so rescheduled it, again for 2 days, and they cancelled half of it. -> I don't get it...my horses are short of shedding, but haven't really -> started that god awful stuff yet. We keep getting wind storms that blow enough dust that its almost like a white out at times. We are using fly spray and bug repellant already. The lawn is getting cut weekly and I have to water.
