Spanische Reitschule (Vienna, Austria) Horsemen and horsewomen -- Austria -- Correspondence. ==== There are also a good half-dozen books on the market which are basic horse breed guides, giving basic info on how big, range, type of use, etc. Simon and Schuster put one out a couple of years ago; Dorling Kindersley's ULTIMATE HORSE GUIDE is the weightiest and prettiest. Marguerite Henry's ALL ABOUT HORSES or the ALBUM OF HORSES may also be some help. Ditto her book on the Lippizaners. HORSE ILLUSTRATED is bound to have done an article sometime or other. That and other more recent stuff on the breeding farms can be tracked down by searching through the reference room at the library; the READER'S GUIDE TO PERIODICAL LITERATURE might be of help. Contrary to what you may think, reference librarians don't bite -- they are trained to help people and are usually very friendly. And really, there's no point in getting history second and third-hand when you can read source material from people like Podhajsky and get it straight from the horse's mouth (sorry, couldn't resist). --- QM v1.31 * Origin: Sci-Fido II, World's Oldest SF BBS, Berkeley, CA (1:161/84.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: E3K00001 Date: 03/13/97 From: DEBBY TAYLOR Time: 11:16pm \/To: BOB KOHL (Read 1 times) Subj: Re: soon happenings! -> Apperently so can EPM now.. the prognosis is good. Although I'm -> still not real pleased that she'll be next to CJ. :( How do horses get EPM? Are you enjoying this great riding weather? I rode until every muscle in my body hurt this weekend. We did a lot of rising trot. By the time we finished I'm not sure who was wetter, me or Smokey. I was sore Saturday night so being the bright person I am I went out and did almost twice as much Sunday. I was REALLY sore Sunday night so I did something really unusual Monday. I scrubbed floors (YUCK) and cleaned house. I found that so depressing I went out to the stable and rode until I felt better. Unfortunately I've never learned to do things in moderation and I'm paying for it, but its not my wrist. :) At least I deserve it. Been using NT on and off since it came out Mike.. ;) And I've used 95 although trankly I still prefer 3.11, however in this case it's a matter of some new software to use.. and I'm certainly not going to fire up 95 on this PC.
