I had a beautiful Quarter Horse (named -> "Baby") who was diagnosed with EPM a few years ago. First of all it -> several months before she was correctly diagnosed ..... then I treate -> for months and MONTHS -- she never did fully recover and had several -> relapses -- of which we treated her again and again. -> -> I rode her when she was feeling good -- just petted and groomed her -> when she was doing poorly ...... Last February (1996) I rode her in -> our annual parade here in LaBelle -- that was the last time I was -> able to ride her ...... she passed away in June last year from colic. -> -> I truely loved this horse -- she was my favorite -- I still get teary -> eyed thinking about her. They'd buck in their stalls, run like maniacs around the pasture, try to kill each other, etc. Think it was their first heat of the year....what a horror show (g)! She's seemed to settle down again now, though. Phew!! Even the girl who does my stalls a couple days a week couldn't believe the change in Shiloh! Dr. Jeckle and Ms. Hyde!
