Just thought I'd pop in and say "hi", and try to find out how some old friends have been doing. As for me, would you believe I haven't even been on horseback for almost two years? God, it still comes as a shock to *ME* even. I got sick, and had to quit for a while, and when I was better, I have to... re-evaluate... my financial situation, which didn't include funding for riding lessons. I miss it... I miss it a lot, in fact... but I'm finding my ways to keep busy. I'm now in my second of three years at college for journalism, and if I must toot my own horn, and I know I must, 'cuz ain't no one gonna do it for me, I'm doin' a pretty darned fine job. Writing for the school paper, both print and web, every week keeps me pretty gosh-darned busy. Anyways, I hope a few of you remember me, and will take the time to let me know how y'all are doing... and hopefully I'll have the time to stick around and at least hear horse talk. ;-) Robert Dutt - journalism student a-go-go ... I prefer hay of course, although I also use pellets and cubes. The pellets I use to give the kid some crunch while she's still teething and to a degree the same goes for cubes. However she slows down and eats cubes so slowly that I like them to keep her occupied as long as possible instead of her gulping down the other food like she does. I can also soak the cubes in vinegar, and not the pellets.
