I have a 2 year old half quarter horse filly and a 7 year ld -> morgan gelding. Just came back to the horse world after a 16 year bsence. -> I have started to drive the gelding last fall and have taken the winter ff -> (way too much ice for my liking). I will also be getting back a horse I -> owned when I was 16, for my daughter to ride. She will be coming in April -> and is the mother of the 2 year old. I have considered breeding her but m -> on/off again about it. She is now 21 and a grade, wonderful temperment. -> But only a grade, I guess that's the key. Where is everyone located? I m -> close to Ottawa, Canada, where the temperature is again dropping tonight and -> we are expecting freezing rain. Hope the horses stay in their shelter -> tonight! Well i am just the other side of the lake from you. I am in Webster, NY (right near Rochester). We have a cottage on the St. Lawrence river though on the Canadian side right near the Thousand Island bridge. We have a Norwegian Fjord mare named Malla. --- PCBoard (R) v15.3/M 2 * Origin: Home of Malla, the spoiled Norwegian Fjord (1:2613/128) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: E1V00008 Date: 01/25/97 From: MIKE MAY Time: 09:02am \/To: BONNIE MACPHERSON (Read 1 times) Subj: Joining in -> Well hello everyone, I've been lurking for about a week, find the news -> interesting. He's bbbaaaaaaccccccckkkkkkkk -- HI MIKE -- how was your -> 'vacation' out west??? It was really a nice trip Jean. We had a great time. Met both Bob & Vicki. We really saw a lot in only a week. The Grand Canyon is simply awesome, ords cannot describe it. It has to be seen in person to be appriciated I am sure. -> > Yeah they do use the Road Trot term too. -> Ahhhhhhhhhh -- I don't think I like that term ..... reminds me of "road -> kill" ;-) -> > Well it is more common to use that term in driving. > It doesn't really -> matter > as long as they can talk to each other. -> They seem to do OK together ...... and, the more X pulls the carriage he -> more I think that's what he rather be doing. Well some horses are happier driving others jumping & others being ridden on either trail or in the ring. They are kinda like people Jean - All Different types of them. If X really takes to the driving so well it might just be est to concentrate on that then. i am sure with some extra work that he would also be a fine riding horse too though.
