You have some strange weather there, don't you? Do -> yours get -> turned out to pasture daily? You're right. If the sun breaks through the fog it reaches the high sixties low 70's then at night it fogs back up and and reaches the 40's. My horses get turned out daily unless it rains or the pastures are too wet like its been since the last storm. The ranch got almost 2 inches in one day out of that last storm which wouldn't be too bad excecpt we hadn't finished drying out from the last storm and its suppose to start raining again tommorrow. The stalls are a REAL mess. They are on the south side and the last two storms were from the south too with strong winds. Its going to take ages for them to dry. A bridge I drive over at least twice a week has been having some real problems. The footings have been moving and they closed it for a time and the river is fuller than it was during the spring. I don't think it'll take much for it to be over it banks. -> Man, we're in the 30's at night right now. Was rough tonight.. I'm -> coming down with a cold or flu.. was not up to it tonight. Most of the people I have been sick or are sick around here. I've been lucky so far. The temperature changes and the damp is getting them I think. -> Well I'm used to the fog.. had to drive up through the tully fog -> every time I drove up to Bakersfield this time of year. I'm use to driving in the fog too. If it was just me and people who knew how to drive in the fog on the road there wouldn't be a problem. Hwy 99 has been crazy lately. I think people have been leaving their brains at home for safe keeping. It sure seems that way. -> Haven't done that yet.. I've ridden through some light fog.. but -> never heavy.. You should try it, it can be a real challenge. Even Smokey who is usually pretty unflappable spooks when it gets really foggy. She went into the round -> pen and then was completely ignored for a day... She got over it. ;) Smokey doesn't get as much attention during the Christmas Season and he shows it. He doesn't do well if he is ignored. I arrange for him to get attention from others when I can't get out there. He doesn't have to be ridden just fussed over and talked to and given a couple of carrots. -> Yep.. I thought we were going to have a drought this year.. boy was I -> wrong! ;) You sure were. Its going to be really bad news when the snowpack starts melting this year. Dave lunged -> Diva > before he rode her to get some of the sillines out and to get -> her to pay Went out to ride today and the arenas were still too wet to lunge so we didn't. Diva was to Fresh for Dave to ride her if she wasn't. The covered arena is all right but its not big enough to lunge in if others are riding in it.
