BK> BK> Hmmm didn't know that. :( I invested im a book that explains the gun laws in Arizona. They're stricter in some ways than I thought, and there are a lot of fine lines drawn. I guess if you shoot a PERSON you don't have to be a cannibal, but it MUST be in self-defense. Lots of guidelines there, not as liberal as a few states that I know of. Although it must be up to the discretion of the judge. I recall a case a few years ago where a couple of guys held up a man of Chinese ancestry - robbed his business at gunpoint, then fled. He ran after them after getting a gun from wherever he kept it, and shot one of them in the @$$. Technically illegal, as they were fleeing and his life was no longer in danger. He got cited for firing a weapon in the city limits, PERIOD. The judge threw THAT one out, too! I suspect it was because the public would have been outraged to see the storeowner get the shaft; it was quite the subject of discussion here. To get back on topic - what is it we were talking about? :) --- Maximus/2 3.00 * Origin: ElseWhere (1:114/212) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: DGU00001 Date: 12/24/96 From: VICKI NICHOLS Time: 12:19pm \/To: BOB KOHL (Read 1 times) Subj: Re: Test? You don't need to be a union member. No closed shops; they're against the law here...although I used to work in one, out of Local 469, the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. The line was, "we're not a closed shop but we get our hiring list from the union." --- Maximus/2 3.00 * Origin: ElseWhere (1:114/212) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: DGU00002 Date: 12/24/96 From: VICKI NICHOLS Time: 12:20pm \/To: MIKE MAY (Read 1 times) Subj: Jean's address -> Hey, I tried to send Netmail to Jean about some -> photos she sent - it came -> up "Kuntry Kupboard" and it tried and tried to send -> it alll night but gave -> up -no carrier. Is that too good to be true? I figured -> that there might be a REASON he was just green broke. Or are there enough -> Fjord breeders now that the prices might be coming down a bit? Well that sounds a little on the cheap side. But then horses in general are probably cheaper in your area. Normally that would be the price one would ay for a weanling colt. Although friends of ours here did pick up a gelding for $1500. He was a 4 yr old too. He was completely untrained though. He also wasn't gelded until just before they bought him. He was kind of a rescue project for the person that had him. She bought out a breeder that had come on some hard times and couldn't feed them anymore. They were in pretty sad hape really. He has turned out to be a pretty nice horse now though. --- PCBoard (R) v15.3/M 2 * Origin: Home of Malla, the spoiled Norwegian Fjord (1:2613/128) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 243 HORSES Ref: DGU00006 Date: 12/24/96 From: MIKE MAY Time: 08:45am \/To: VICKI NICHOLS (Read 1 times) Subj: Test -> I was wondering if you'd made your reservations yet - it will be 71 -> today,72 Christmas Day, and 74 on Saturday.
