You'll actually have to re-install the modem and direct the "Have Disk" function so that the .INF file is used. A whopping two minutes of your time . . . The problem is the .INF file, not the modem. Couriers _only_ return modem-modem speed when they connect. US Robotics modems always report the DCE link speed. What you're seeing is a quirk of Win '95. If it can't match the connect speed against the .INF file you have configured for your modem it will report the DTE port speed. The x2 Courier needs a new .INF file which is available from USR's BBS, USR's web site and many other systems. The file name is MDMUSRCR.INF and needs to be placed in the WINDOWS\INF directory on your system.
