What game was smart enough to thikn up "Hey lets put in the John Woo move, dual pistols!" and it had great original weapons, like for once A REGULAR MACHINE GUN,and the drunk missile, a real looking rocket launcher, heat seekers, the firewall, and all the rest. Doom's weapons were terrible looking, except for perhaps the pistol and the chainsaw. The BFG9000 just looked like a big lump. How can you compare Doom to ROTT. Perhaps you can compare it to Quake. The weapons and everything in that are very cool. The nailgun, and those underwater sequences. Great stuff. Except, the enemies could look a bit better. But deathmatching is fun, the deathmatch options and even fighting a deathmatch in ROTT was TERRIBLE! --- Big Ted 1.2 for Wildcat/5 * Origin: Nightwatch BBS -- Erie, PA USA (814) 866-9451 (1:2601/569) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 240 APOGEE GAMES Ref: EAZ00004 Date: 06/29/97 From: ADAM SCHLOSSER Time: 09:34am \/To: MONICA JESENSKY (Read 0 times) Subj: Scrollers Yeah, I saw that Stargunner around also. I'm not sure of what it is. It's like the old Gradius (starship fighters) for the old Nintendo system right? I think the game industry should just close down for awhile. I hate JR> that "boomBoomBOOM" noise, as I get killed :P I have a general tactic for killing those guys, if you're interested. First, make sure you have the night-vision goggles so you can actually see them. Then make sure you have your riot gun out, in rapid-fire mode (so if you spot him, you can take him out in one shot). Lastly, if it will work, plant sticky bombs on walls you expect them to pass by - it may not kill them, but it'll make things easier. After all that, it's just a matter of sitting in a safe spot and waiting for a chance to plug those zombies. --- Maximus 3.01 * Origin: BitByters BBS, Rockland ON, Can. (613)446-7773 v34, (1:163/215)
