First, when is Blood going to come out? Also when is Prey going to be ready and how powerful a system am I going to need to get it to run smoothly? How do you think Prey will compare to Quake in gameplay? Thanks for your answer ahead of time. Yup! These code were originally sent by Jarno Verkaik (or something) to Gaming echo. Here's a complete list with cheats for Duke3D.... Cheat Code What it does/gives you ========== ====================== Section I: Useful Cheats (These affect Gameplay) ================================================ DNCORNHOLIO God Mode (And Unlimited Jetpack). DNKROZ Same as Cornholio, just quicker to type. DNVIEW Same as the F7 key in the game. (Also prints the message "You're too good to be heating") DNHYPER Puts you in Steroids Mode. DNITEMS Gives all inventory items and keys. * DNWEAPONS Gives all weapons and ammo. * DNKEYS Gives all the keys. DNSTUFF Gives all weapons, keys, inventory items. * DNSCOTTYxyz Level Warp. x is the Episode Number, yz is the level number (Ex: dnscotty103 for Episode 1 Level 3, or dnscotty211 for Episode 2 Level 11) DNSKILLx Changes the difficulty mode to x. (x can be 0 to 3) * DNUNLOCK Opens all doors and unlocks all locked doors. DNMONSTERS Turns off (or on) the monsters in the game. DNCLIP Walk Through Walls Warning: Being in God Mode can crash the game at certain points, depending on what you are doing. Being in God mode when you are squashed by rotating gears is one example. Warning 2: The DNCLIP code can be very dangerous. It can cause crashes at any time. If you have a problem, and have used DNCLIP, restart, and do not use DNCLIP, and see if it happens. This was the main reason we didn't have a DNCLIP in v1.0. Section II: Cute Cheats (They do something, but don't affect the game) ====================================================================== * DNSHOWMAP Shows the entire map. DNCASHMAN Spews money everywhere when you press space. * DNCOORDS Shows extremely detailed map coordinate/level nformation. * DNDEBUG Shows some debug information. DNRATE Shows your frame rate onscreen. You must be in full screen mode for this to be anywhere near accurate. DNBETA Prints the message "Pirates Suck!" DNALLEN Prints the message "Buy Major Stryker" * DNTODD Prints the message "Register Cosmo Today!" Section III: Useless Cheats (These don't actually do anything) ============================================================== DNXXXXXX Does Nothing. Notes: 1) If a cheat code has a star (*) in front of it, that means it has been added new in v1.3d, or has been changed from v1.1. 2) The DNCOSMO cheat was removed in v1.3d, because the keystroke conflicted with a game function. DNTODD in v1.3d is functionally the same as DNCOSMO. 3) The DNUNLOCK cheat code does *NOT* work in shareware. It only works in the registered version of the game. ============================================================== \ - Jani \--------------------------\ \--------\ Falling Star Productions \ ... +++ ATH0 +++ ATH0 Work! Is it posible to play 3 player duke3d over modem? like my mate has got 2 modems and if me and this other guy both ring him is there any way at all we can play 3 players? or what if we connected up 3 computers by serial link and one of them had a modem, then me ring him on the modem and play 3 players.. would that be possible? All you do is sit there and shoot AL> others that run by you. No hiding spots (maybe the air). Are you kidding? 1. You can hide on the edge (nobody looks there) 2. You can hide behind the goalposts (well, maybe) 3. You can hide in the corners, crouched down. Basically, the one who moves sets himself up for the one who crouches and waits... Moving targets are MUCH easier to pick out from a distance. What I like doing is, if someone hits me with a Shrinker, crouch down beside an item; it's really hard to find you there... Especially if they don't know exactly when/where they hit you (like, from a distance). And yes, the air is a good place to hide, especially right beside the blimp (if nobody's shot it). On the other hand, if the other player has an RPG... *RUN* until he runs out of ammo. (Just for effect, I painted a happy face on the front of my RPG missiles; makes for one last laugh just before impact... ) Though I must admit that my experience is only with 2 players at a time... I would *LOVE* to play it over the Internet... I have a PPP connect to the Internet... Can someone tell me how to use it to play Duke on the Net?
