Some responses to your gripes in the past. I don't feel like hunting up specific messages and "Quote-Replying," so I'll do it this way. 1.) FREAKING vs. FRIEKING -- I chose the spelling Adam Sandler chose in the lyrics. 2.) Calling you "bastard" -- I, of course, didn't literally mean you were a bastard! Come on, man! Jeeze! It's analogous to "Son of a Gun," which in turn means it's a euphemism for "Son of a Bitch!" 3.) The occasional MOOD -- These are inserted at my choosing by my mailreader, Terminate (which BTW, is just awesome!). They help the reader to see what mood I meant the message in. ALSO.) Your Genius comment -- It was too much! But if *you* believe it, take one of MENSA's IQ tests. Now, I am not trying to butt into anyone's conversation or anything, but I have to make just one point. Just because someone can not spell well does not mean that they are not intelligent. It just means that that may be a subject they have trouble with. I know many people, most of them computer programmers, who have atrocious spelling, but are highly intelligent individuals. Their intelligence may just happen to be in another area that maybe, no insult intended, that you are not as proficient in. Does that mean you are not intelligent because you can't speed read a novel in two hours while another can? Plus, another side to the argument is that some people are not very good typers, such as myself. I always have to go over and correct all my mistakes. Some people just don't take the time to do this. So, maybe they're good spellers, but awful typers. --- WILDMAIL!/WC v4.12 * Origin: LOST IN THE NEVER (1:213/290.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 240 APOGEE GAMES Ref: DAR00026 Date: 06/21/96 From: CRAIG KIRBY Time: 11:49am \/To: JOE SIEGLER (Read 3 times) Subj: hidden command-lines Hello Joe!
