There are a lot of games out there for the psx that could u -> a keyboard, I should know, I own one. Yes, I spent months just saving -> up 300 bucks just for some stupid (but kick ass) thing. Never will I -> that again. Anyways... you have some points to your arguement. It jus -> pisses me off that some developers wont take the time to do an exact -> translation. They don't care about gamers that much. I don't care how -> much painstaking programming they have to do, I should be able to get -> perfect translation of my favorite PC games. Doom on the psx sucked -> because they didn't spend much time converting it. If I were a -> programmer, I would do whatever I could to make sure gamers are happy I know a friend who had a genesis, sold it got a snes, and now wants to sell it to get a psx.... Thats stupid...:) Anyway If you wrote games you'd understand the pains, same if I did, but I'm trying to learn C and ASM. You understand the benifts of printf() when you have to do it with ASM interupts :) To o complete translations would be to cost worthy. Interplay does a good job aparently but I would hate to try to rewrite Duke3d to Mac, and I'm sure it'd be a lot harder to go to PSX.. :) Brian --- Platinum Xpress/Wildcat! v1.1 * Origin: The Looking Glass : (860) 741-6736 (1:142/736) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 240 APOGEE GAMES Ref: DAG00021 Date: 06/10/96 From: MATT PETERSON Time: 08:18pm \/To: ALL (Read 4 times) Subj: Duke 3d How big is the registered version of Duke Nukem 3d?.. like.. megabytes.. I've played Dark Forces before and I loved it because of the JN> missions and stuff. Also because I am a die hard starwars fan (who JN> isnt?). l8r I'm hoping that when Prey is released, that it too might be in the form of missions or something other then the "kill everything, move on" mentality that other 3D games seem to do. It certainly makes for a much more interesting game (IMHO). Actually, I'm curious when the other two "Build" games (Shadow Warrior & Blood) are going to be released, since Prey is slated for early 1997. --- FMail/386 1.0g * Origin: The Game Players BBS -- [DEMiSE] WHQ -- 86o.423.6894 (1:327/6894) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 240 APOGEE GAMES Ref: DAH00000 Date: 06/11/96 From: MIKE HEGARTY Time: 11:48pm \/To: ALL (Read 4 times) Subj: Address for Build FAQ Howdy All, I have been reading in this echo that quite a few people are having trouble using the Build Editor.
