Both of which run USR Sportster 33.6 modems. On one of the two BBSes I always connect at 24000 bps but with only v.42bis compression instead of v.34! On the other BBS I always connect t 14.4 and v.42bis compression! I've talked to other people that call the two BBSes and none of them ever have problems connecting to either. I know this s usually an init string problem but I've been having trouble finding any information on Seirra Modem inits, and the Toshiba User's Manual wasn't very helpful! (2) Like I said before it's supposed to be software upgradeable but I haven't been able to find the patch for it to get up to 33.6 anywhere, either. Thanx in advance to anyone that helps! --- Renegade v5-11 Exp * Origin: The DarkSide BBS *E.R.
