Hello all This is a request for help. An AA friend of mine unexpectedly finds himself on his way to The World AA Conference in San Diego because a terminally ill AA friend of his has a (final) wish to go to a world conference. The Two have tickets for the conference and but only have lodging for two days. They are looking for lodging on the 30th, 1 & 2. The best would be something close to the Center so that they can cut down on tiring travel time. Hope someone can help, thanks yours in sobriety & AA hugs, dian OLX 2.1 TD The elevator is broken: please take the 12 steps. --- ProBoard v2.01 [Reg] * Origin: Community Access Courtenay, BC +1 604 338-4597 (1:3412/1112) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 231 RECOVERY Ref: CAN00018 Date: 06/17/95 From: CHRIS S ANDERSON Time: 11:59pm \/To: DAN WOODCOCK (Read 3 times) Subj: Hi Hey Dan, Chris, alcoholic. I've just started banging around on this conference myself. I got sober in the Princeton, NJ area. After a while I decided to go back to college and in pursuit of that ends I moved to Maryland. While meetings are meetings and meeting makers make it, I like to read what other recovery people have to say on this net. I recently attended a Big Book seminar in D.C. and am supercharged! So much so that I put out an "all" message about starting a BB step disscussion on this conference...we'll see how it goes. Hope to read from ya. Easy does it. Thanks for calling! Glad to see you back on the system! The purpose of this note is to let you know how you can reach us a little easier. See, we have 40 lines here, but the first 4 or 5 are used for new users to register. These first few lines are also used to allow our Athens and LaGrange callers to reach us toll-free. We would REALLY appreciate you changing the number you use to call us to one of the following numbers that matches your modem. . (404) 924-2123 -- Users with 300/1200, or 2400bps modems. .* (404) 924-3472 -- Users with 9600 baud or 14.4Kbps modems. . (404) 591-4647 -- Users with V.FC & V.34 28,800bps modems. If you're using INDEXCOM, our custom terminal package, all you must do to reach our "registered user" number is do an "Alt-E" and enter the number marked with an asterisk (*) above, (usually without the 404.) Remember... (404) 924-8472 & (706) 613-0566 are for new users or for folks calling from Athens that have to pay long-distance to call us in Atlanta. Now if you are calling long distance, or if you can't change the number, let us know, it's no big deal. Thanks a lot!!
