Might ship the heafty fellow before building a pond as it is. Yard just too popular for the kids! Might manage it though as my husbabd and I are thinking of how much the kids in the neightborhood will like a live yard 'fishtank'. 2 of the local kids now have fish tanks and have been looking at ours for easy care ideas. One of the parents is here now, looking over how we stocked ours with fish that dont cost and arm-and-a-leg to buy. Looks like they will try pretty looking guppies and the other family has bought cheap simple goldfish and is looking to a livingroom tank of angelfish and neon tetras. xxcarol --- Telegard v3.03.b06 * Origin: SHENK'S EXPRESS Norfolk VA 757-486-3057 28.8 Dual (1:275/100) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 229 AQUARIUMS Ref: EBC00021 Date: 07/03/97 From: CAROL SHENKENBERGER Time: 01:40pm \/To: JEFF MCKEE (Read 1 times) Subj: Re: New tank *** Quoting Jeff McKee from a message to Carol Shenkenberger *** JM> goldfish. But you know me! I won't be down for long! :) Let's see, so far I've bred guppies, platies, and swordtails, rainbow cichlids, angelfish, and some other very common little African river cichlid which for the life of me I can't remember at all just now, and have raised and kept green severums, gold cichlids, geophagus, and some other central/south american cichlids, jewel cichlids, cardinal tetras, neon tetras, betas, various breeds of corys and pl*cos, lemon tetras, blue botias, clowns, hatchet fish, various zebra danios, and a whole bunch more I'm probably forgetting, as well as a multitude of live plants, and of course, a few native species (if I remember well, they were golden shiners, spottail shiners, banded killies, black banded sunfish and red-belly dace). Whew! Quite the bunch, heh? :) And it also helps me stay on topic... :) Chris --- timEd 1.10 * Origin: Watch for our GRAND OPENNING! Acoustic Plains BBS. I can only > have cichlids in it? How many should I start with ? Pardon my jumping in, but I think there may be some confusion here. You can have pretty much whatever you want in your tank. Provided they don't get to big for the tank when they are full grown. Another consideration is that some fish are only compatiable with fish of the same temperment. For example certain cichlids are only compatible with other cichlids of the same temperment. This is due to the fact that some cichlids are verry agressive and only well armoured or fish that are equally agressive. Take care ... Fish are so hard to toilet train.... --- FMailX 1.02 * Origin: ERIDU BBS - Red Deer, AB Canada (403) 342-1548 (1:3417/20)
