We have a male blue and gold and JP> a female military. (separate cages, close together) The B&G stopped JP> most of his screaming once he had someone to talk to. This also has JP> made the conversational quality better and cuts new word teaching in JP> half as they repeat things to each other. I hope that you do not plan on breeding these two birds and therefore creating a hybrid. As far as all the baby rats are concerned, we only kept about 4 of them. We still have 2 of them, but all the rest went to the pet store as we just idn't have the room for them. We're down to 5 rats right now. We didn't exchange them for anything, we just took them in cos we didn't have the room for them at the time. MG> A Severe (or Mini or brown-fronted or Chestnut) Macaw is half the size of a MG> normal macaw. It looks exactly like the Military Macaw but in minituare. The only experience I've had with any birds is with a conure, and a female at that...:) I guess that's why I ask so many questions about the parrots and macaws. I've seen a macaw in a pet store before and oy was it big. It was mostly red with some blue tail feathers and blue on the wings where they bend. I'd love to get one, but unfortunately a lack of unds and, from what I've been reading here, a lack of adequate space keeps me from getting one. I think we'll settle for a pair of love birds for the time being...:) Teresa * Origin: Dragons Realm BBS - Wayne, MI (313)722.8208 V34 (1:2410/224) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 225 PARROTS Ref: ED400000 Date: 09/02/97 From: TERESA VANDERHILL Time: 06:11pm \/To: FRAN WARWICK (Read 0 times) Subj: Birds FW> Why do you want a pair of lovebirds? But since you brought it up, I *do* have a question! :) I was thinking of adding a buddy for my lovebird to my pet family. I want a medium sized bird, but one that will not be aggressive towards Cricket (the lovebird). Also, price is an issue. I can't afford too much. Any suggestions?
