GE> In the Pittsburgh region, they main consumer promo was unlimited GE> off-peak until 1/1/97 on the Evening & Weekend plan. It ran from GE> October until the end of last month. I'd figure for companies, you were right because most company employees use their phone alot more during the day, that is why they usually choose flat rate otpions instead of peak/offpeak, and that unlimited offpeak wouldn't really do a thing for them. Double the included minutes though would help them alot. We don't have plans like that over here, but for instance, say on a Professional plan like I had for $146.95 a month, with a 1 year contract, you would get 375 minutes included a month, but with a 2 year contract, you would get 490 minutes. The executive plus (249.95) includes over 1000 minutes to use at your discretion. ... Were they talking to you on the Sony Digital or the Sony Analog? With the sony digital, there is NO NO NO static EVER at all. No cross talk ever at all! Not one time have I heard it in the month that we've had CDMA digital service. But true, nothing can beat a landline phone, especially I have a good Panasonic Corded handset phone, it has like noise reduction cicuitry or something, it sounds great, especailly compared to my AT&T and my GE phone. Haha, that sounds like my boss, except that he can't hear whether or not he is on a cell phone with the volume turned up all the way or a landline phone. The funny thing is, I tihnk it's harder to hear people when the phone is turned up allk the way than when it's turned down to the minimum setting. I have my sony on the minimum all the time except for like on the freeway in a noisy car, then I will turn it up one notch out of 4. With my old Motorla, I had it turned up 3 out of 8 or something, and my girl friend has hers turned up 8/8 and when I talk to her I get so much damn eco I can't stand it. The Teletac GE> uses all the same batteries & CLA's as everything except the Startac. The cheapest over here are the damn Classic (drug delaer) phones, the ones that weights about 5 lbs and like 12" long and 7" deep and 1" wide.
