If the outlets are only getting fed by two wires, and not 3, I betcha the neutral and earth ground are tied together. It seems that most electricians think that neutral and ground are the same. THEY ARE NOT! Your suppressor or (worse) computer's power supply might not like that arrangement. Running a ground wire will not help. You'll need to get a qualified licensed electrician to rewire the panel and that outlet's circuit, and make sure you force the electrician to keep neutral and ground separate. They'll fuss and try to make you think they know all about the neutral/ground issue, but make darn sure they do that right from the breaker panel to the outlet for the computer. (Can't stress how important keeping neutral and ground apart are: Thousands of people get fried every year from that specific screwup!) That in itself may fix the problem outright. (I'll probably get a lot of angry responses from electricians, but that's tough: If they don't know this stuff, they sould not be electricians!) Until the next ranting spree... t. --- Maximus 2.02 * Origin: Ramblin' Roots * Miami, FL * (305) 221-1571 * HST* (1:135/54) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 219 WINDOWS/WRKGRPS Ref: CBP00000Date: 07/18/95 From: RANDALL AINSWORTH Time: 05:16am \/To: TIMOTHY GRANT (Read 15 times) Subj: MEMORY TG> New question, I have noticed that WFWG is fairly stable, but has a TG> propensity to lock when printing to a remote printer from within W TG> v6.1.
