To me, physical punishment is hitting > the dog...for anything. I'm glad you said that. I had a run-in with the local Humane Society over this one, the self-righteous militant food treat freaks. They never even saw me correct a dog. They said they would prosecute if they 'caught'me correcting a dog. I told them to go for it, I'd just show the court Bill Koehler's Humane Association approved book and a video of a several dog shows, then I'd let a juror lay a correction on me (I've had it done). They went away. One of them lived around the corner from me. It was with no small amount of sadistic glee that I pinned a note on her dead cat that said that if they did not let it run, it would not have been hit by a car and that they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If I would have had the cash, I would have sued them for mental anguish at seeing a dead house pet. | AmiQWK 2.9 - FREEWARE | ... Yes, I know the dog will probably defend his home, but it has been known for thieves to feed a dog drugged meat before "doing a job". I wouldn't say it was much of a problem if you have a small breed of dog, but the larger ones, like your chows... Chris eb011@freenet.carleton.ca --- timEd 1.10 * Origin: Silverwing's Shadowlands.
