I'm wanting to be able to print to a printer that's on my 95 system from OS/2. For some reason, it looks like I can't find the right icon to grab this printer with. Could someone lead me in the right direction and let me know how I can do this? :) 95 can see the OS/2 printer, I just need to see the 95 printer from the other end. Howdy all! I'm attempting to network my OS/2 Warp v4 machine and Win95 machine, but have yet to succeed. I figure perhaps someone in here can offer a suggestion. Here's as far as I've made it. In Win95 under Network Neighborhood, the OS/2 machine (Machine1) shows up. If I double-click on it I get the message: "\\Machine1 not accessable. The computer or sharename could not be found. Make sure you typed it correctly, and try again." Then with OS/2, I pull up the Shared Resources & Network Connections config program and go to the Connections page to attempt to Create a Connection to the Win95 machine (Machine2). In the Server spot, Machine2 never shows up, and if I type it in and try to connect that way I get the response: "SYS0053: The network path was not found." I figure I have some kind of connection between the two since the Win95 machine can at least see the OS/2 machine. Not sure, why then, that I can't fully have them work. Any suggestions? Mine were there under 3.1 using IBM's DOS Lan Services (snagged it from a DEMO disk of Warp Connect Server - it's amazing what you find on demo disks), and when I "upgraded" to Win95, those file share settings were migrated to 95. Net result: Win95, even though it can't see my OS/2 system, still nicely shares drives. Have you ensured that you have a common protocol (like NETBEUI) installed on both machines? Yup, both NetBeui and TCP/IP are setup on both machines. SB> Have you tried going into Explorer and manually entering the path of the SB> share you want? Yup, Win95 claims the OS/2 machine is unaccessable. A friend is bringing me the OS/2 Peer fixpack so I'll see if applying it will work. It sounds like you have given a name to the OS/2 host, but you have not actually shared any resources ? You have to create a share, in order for the other machines to see anything other than the computer name. If there is nothing to browse, you will get the sort of error message you describe.
