Anyone who knows how to do this lemme know..... I would assume (Never having done this myself) that the OS/2 TCP/IP would talk to the NT machine. You may have to get NFS ($89 or so) to be able to mount the NT drives. If the NT is running TCPBEUI (Netbios or TCP/IP) I would think the OS/2 NETBIOS over TCP/IP should work. If it is not currently running it, see if they will enable it... --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: The OUTER LIMITS: Another BBS proudly running OS/2 WARP! So what am I doing > wrong that I cannot run Windows 3.1 in a private VDM? RJ> Why not run Win/OS2 ? Most of it seems to work. Because WinOS/2 does not support ipx (only netx). You need ipx to use nwadmin. Netx won't make it here. Thus, I need a vlm boot. I am using Netbeui and TCP/IP. The 'config.sys' line with the CONNECTIONS entry is present although it appears near the end of the list. My update levels are XR02110, WR08000, and UN00001. As you probably know, the LS requestor has a limited peer function built-in. One limitation is that only one user can use a resource at a time. If I were to install Connect or Merlin on these machines, what added functionality would there be using the new peer services? Would the above limitation still apply under Peer? Also, I've heard that the Peer is a lot slower and memory-hungry than the 4.0 requestor. Would Peer's memory requirements be a lot more than the 3.0 requestor?
